Actually GoodDisability Support

OUR APPROACH

A good worker still has to be right for you.

Kindness and experience matter. So do communication, interests, boundaries and the way you feel around someone.

What we look for in a match

We listen to the participant, then consider the person behind the worker’s resume.

How you get on

Personality, shared interests, humour, energy and whether conversation feels easy or you’d rather have quiet.

How support feels

Communication, patience and judgement. Does the worker know when to offer help, encourage, wait or step back?

What works in real life

Reliability, location, availability and the support skills the person actually needs.

ONCE SUPPORT STARTS

We stay open to feedback.

A first match is a starting point. If something feels off, we want to hear about it early and look at what could change.

You want more time to decideWe give you space to think.
A worker is doing too muchWe talk about what help is useful and what you want to do yourself.
The match is not workingWe listen and consider another option, if one is available.

OUR RESPONSIBILITY

Good relationships need good practice.

Safety, privacy, clear records, boundaries and honest communication matter. We use them to support people well and handle concerns properly.
